Error installing eG Agent in Solaris

I have the following error message while trying to install an eG agent on Solaris. The Solaris package was downloaded from the eG FTP site.


# pkgadd -d eGagent

The following packages are available:

1 eGagent eG Agent

 (sparc) version 9

Select package(s) you wish to process (or 'all' to process

all packages). (default: all) [?,??,q]:

Processing package instance <eGagent> from </opt/egagent/eGagent>

cpio: Bad magic number/header.

pkgadd: ERROR: attempt to process datastream failed

 - process </usr/bin/cpio -icdumD -C 512> failed, exit code 1

pkgadd: ERROR: unable to unpack datastream

Installation of <eGagent> failed (internal error).


No changes were made to the system.

This error can occur if the eG agent package is corrupt. Try downloading the package again, copy the package in binary mode,  and then repeat the installation.
