Creating a Syslog server in the Netscaler Console:

Please follow the steps on the below Screenshot to monitor the Syslog

Sample Sys log Entries

Date entries:

Search String and Index:

Index: Specify the cursor position after which the eG agent should search for the specified SEARCH STRING (or the position upto which the eG agent should ignore while searching for the specified SEARCH STRING) in the syslog file. For example, if the specified SEARCH STRING appears in the Syslog file at the 17th position, then you may need to specify the SEARCH STRING INDEX as 16.

Syslog files can contain entries from different sources. These “Search String” and “Search String Index” inputs are needed to process only the entries of NetScaler that we need to monitor.
